ASHBURN International representatives participated in the SUNMI Open Day working meeting in the UAE. Executive Director Žoržas Šarafanovičius and IT Director Gintaras Janaudis shared their insights with SUNMI partners and met with potential customers from the Middle East and South Asia. The main purpose of the trip was to strengthen agreements with SUNMI regarding joint market entry. For its part, ASHBURN International will serve as a hardware and software implementation partner.
During the SUNMI Open Day in Dubai, ASHBURN International demonstrated the capabilities of TransLink.iQ to SUNMI partners who were previously unfamiliar with the software platform. This software solution enables centralized management of EFTPOS devices and facilitates transaction routing between banks and payment systems.
Partners from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Egypt, and Kuwait have expressed interest in the product’s functionality. Several business scenarios are currently being discussed regarding the use of TransLink.iQ with terminals purchased from SUNMI.

SUNMI Home is a space where customers and partners can explore the latest SUNMI technologies, hold meetings, and participate in training sessions. This environment is not limited to the Middle East (UAE). SUNMI Home locations are also open in Europe (France) and Asia-Pacific (Cambodia, Thailand), with most demo offices situated in China.
At SUNMI Home, real-life scenarios demonstrate how payment devices are used in the retail and HoReCa industries. Visitors can experience a hotel with a self-check-in system, a café with automated order payments, a cashierless supermarket, and more – over 10 such setups are featured in one room.
In May 2024, a delegation from the Penki Kontinentai Group along with BS/2 and ASHBURN International, visited one of these SUNMI sites in Shanghai. Key group employees learned more about SUNMI’s operations and showcased their software solutions and services. Both parties discussed future collaboration during a visit to SUNMI headquarters and signed a Memorandum of Strategic Partnership.
This earlier business trip to China directly led to the recent Dubai working meeting.
