Fiscal data operator is an organization that receives, processes, stores, and transfers data to local tax authorities. The operator is obliged to transfer fiscal data (data on payments in cash or payment cards) from the cash register to the local tax office, as well as ensure their confidentiality and protection.
BS/2 Georgia in cooperation with ASHBURN International offer payment terminals to the Georgian market, which perform fiscalization function, thus replacing cash registers. The Ingenico Move/2500 payment terminal with the special integrated SAM module was included in the registry of the Georgian State Tax Inspectorate.
From now on with the help of this payment terminal, customers can accept not only payments with cards but also with cash. It is especially important for small supermarkets where visitors usually pay by cash. In addition, thanks to a single payment terminal, which can also replace the cash register, retailers can save on the purchase of equipment.
“Fiscal data operator status gives us the opportunity to enter a broader market. Until now, we worked exclusively with non-cash payments, but after receiving the status, we offer customers terminals that allow them to accept cash payments as well. The banks we are cooperating with are impatiently looking forward to the opportunity to purchase terminals with the function of fiscalization, – says Nikoloz Kukujanov, technical director of BS/2 Georgia – This achievement is only the start of our journey and our next goal is to get other models of payment terminals certified as well.”
BS/2 Georgia has been providing payment terminal installation and maintenance services since 2018. The company’s specialists have installed and are currently maintaining more than 30,000 payment terminals for clients of Bank of Georgia and TBC Bank. Those payment terminals are powered by ASHBURN International’s TransLink.iQ software solution.
